You don’t have to do anything to get to hell, because you are on the way there. All humans are on the way to hell until they recognize that they are sinners, they turn away from their wrong path and follow Jesus Christ. Being a Christian means that I follow Jesus Christ.
The question is: Is there really a hell? Many people say that hell is on the earth. Some people have such a hard life that they think hell must be here. Others think that if there is a hell, then it must be fun and warm, and one big party. At least, that’s what they have heard from some singer, or read in a book, or whatever. First of all, hell is not on the earth, secondly, it’s absolutely no fun being there and thirdly it’s forever, from eternity to eternity.
The Old Testament speaks of the realm of the dead. In the New Testament, Jesus speaks repeatedly about hell being a terrifying place. Let’s read what He says: “Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One (God) who can destroy both soul and body in hell. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell. The Son of Man (Jesus) will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. They will throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. If your hand causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life maimed than with two hands to go into hell, where the fire never goes out. And if your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life crippled than to have two feet and be thrown into hell. Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels [demons]. Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell, where ‘the worms that eat them do not die, and the fire is not quenched’”
“His (Jesus) winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor, gathering his wheat into the barn and burning up the chaff (the unbelievers) with unquenchable fire (the spiritual body burns constantly).” “The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire“. All this will happen by the last judgment.
People consist of mind, soul and body. When we die, only the flesh dies. The soul and the mind are covered with a new body and we must stand before God and take responsibility. Most of humanity is going to hell, because they never bothered with a relationship with Jesus Christ. Either they didn’t believe in anything or they had a religion – but a religion can’t save you from God’s judgment. By the way, there is no such thing as purgatory, that’s a lie of the Church. There is no such thing in the Bible.
God has a plan for your life. He loves you and wants you to spend your eternity in Heaven. Satan hates you and wants to prevent that! Don’t throw your life away! If you have thoughts of suicide, look for help. Suicide means murdering yourself. No-one who commits suicide goes to heaven. Don’t believe any of the Devil’s lies, because your suffering will be far worse afterwards.
